PROGRAM SUMMARY

Southern Peaks Regional Treatment Center, a 160-bed staff-secure facility, is a treatment alternative to incarceration for adolescents referred through Colorado Department of Human Services (DHS) and Colorado Department of Youth Corrections (DYC) with mental health and behavioral issues. The center offers specialized treatment for youth in the areas of alcohol and substance abuse, victims of sexual abuse, domestic violence and skill streaming. Intensive treatment is provided for adolescent males and females ages 12 to 18 with serious behavioral and psychological impairments. A client’s I.Q. must be 70 or above.

School services include:

• On-site educational services
• Access to cultural, recreational and social activities in the community
